DAY 1
Arrival in Vilnius
Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Welcome meeting. Accommodation in a 4-Star hotel.
DAY 2
Vilnius – Trakai – Kernavė – Anykščiai
Morning excursion in the historic Vilnius Old Town including the Vilnius Cathedral and its square, the complex of Vilnius University, Pilies street containing historical, as well as, architectural monuments, which date back to the 16th-18th century, the Gothic corner of Vilnius with St. Anne’s and Bernardine churches, the former Town Hall square, the Gate of Dawn possessing a miraculous icon of Virgin Mary, and the 17th century Baroque church of St. Peter and Paul famous for its exceptional all-white interior. In the afternoon, a tour of Trakai will take place beginning with a degustation of the traditional cuisine of Karaims, adherents of Karaite Judaism brought to Lithuania by the Grand Duke Vytautas from Crimea. This city is the ancient capital of Lithuania located 28 km from Vilnius. Trakai is most well-known for its alluring 14th-15th century castle, the only castle in all of Eastern Europe that is situated on an island, where exhibitions of prehistoric findings, as well as, the 17th-18th century art depicting the way of life of the Lithuanian Grand Dukes and Karaims, are being held. Departure from Trakai to Anykščiai for a SPA relaxation. En route stop at Kernavė – the first capital of Lithuania. Accommodation in a 4-Star hotel in Anykščiai.
DAY 3
Anykščiai – Rundale Palace – Riga
Morning sightseeing tour in Anykščiai and a visit to the folk museum where you will be able to create items from metal with professional artisans and/or have a horse ride. After the folk museum, a trip with a 19th century narrow gauge railway train through astonishing landscape and lunch in a restaurant on the bank of a lake. Late afternoon departure from the Anykščiai region to Riga. En route, after crossing the border of Latvia, stands the remarkable baroque residence – Rundale Palace, which was created by the Italian architect B. Rastrelli. Late afternoon arrival in Riga, the capital of Latvia. Sensational dinner in a medieval 13th century underground restaurant, which is lit solely by candles. Accommodation in a 4-Star hotel.
DAY 4
Riga – Gauja National Park – Turaida Castle – Tallinn
Morning walking tour in the Old Town of Riga, which features its most renowned architectural monuments: 13th century St. Peter’s Church, St. George’s Church, St. John’s Church, 14th century Riga Castle, Big and Small Guild houses, medieval dwelling houses “Three Brothers” and the Dome Square with its distinguished Dome Cathedral boasting one of the biggest pipe organs in Europe. Leaving Riga for Tallinn alongside the Riga Bay. En route stop at the Gauja National Park, to have an awe-inspiring trip with a cable car above the treetops, and the Turaida Castle dating back to the 13th century. Late afternoon arrival in Tallinn. Outstanding dinner in a restaurant, which dates back to 1475 with 17 medieval dishes for your enjoyment. You will get a thorough experience of the archaic Hanseatic customs. For a complete medieval immersion, servants, customary to the time-period, will guide you. Accommodation in a 4-Star hotel.
DAY 5
Tallinn – Stockholm
Morning city tour of Tallinn highlighting its surroundings and its Old Town will commence. You will visit Catherine’s Valley Park and Palace, the Song Festival Amphitheatre and its venue, which has rich 120-year-old traditions, as well as, various other sights. You will also see Tallinn’s most acclaimed attractions: Toompea Hill and the Parliament building, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Tall Hermann, Kiek in de Kök and Dome Cathedral. The tour ends in Town Hall Square with a view of the Town Hall, a Gothic masterpiece of the 13th-14th century. Late afternoon departure from Tallinn to Stockholm in a ferry. Night and dinner on board.
DAY 6
Arrival in Stockholm
Elegant and spectacular Stockholm, also known as the “Baltic Venice”. Across the city, distinguished museums and galleries provoking to come inside, harboring everything from glittering Viking treasures and an ill-fated warship, to Abba props and contemporary art. You will visit the marvelous City Hall and Vasa museum. Accommodation in a 4-Star hotel.
