Warsaw – Kaunas
Departure from Warsaw to Kaunas (Lithuania). Excursion in the Kaunas Old Town highlighting the “longest bridge in the world”. Degustation of traditional Lithuanian cuisine. Kaunas – Trakai – Kernavė – Vilnius
Leaving Kaunas for Vilnius. En route stop at the old Lithuanian capital – Trakai, as well as, the first capital of Lithuania – Kernavė. Trakai is located 28 km from Vilnius. This city is most well-known for its alluring 14th-15th century castle, the only castle in all of Eastern Europe that is situated on an island, and the delicious cuisine of Karaims, adherents of Karaite Judaism brought to Lithuania by the Grand Duke Vytautas from Crimea, that you will be able to indulge yourself in. The marvelous mound hills of Kernavė will be for you to admire. Impressive landscape, rich history, and valuable archaeological findings have put the archeological site of Kernavė mound hills on the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage List. Late afternoon arrival in Vilnius. Excursion in the historic Vilnius Old Town including the Vilnius Cathedral and its square, the complex of Vilnius University, Pilies street containing historical, as well as, architectural monuments, which date back to the 16th-18th century, the Gothic corner of Vilnius with St. Anne’s and Bernardine churches, the former Town Hall square, and the Gate of Dawn possessing a miraculous icon of Virgin Mary. Vilnius – Hill of Crosses – Rundale – Riga
Leaving Vilnius for Riga. En route stop at the Hill of Crosses near Šiauliai, a unique place of national pilgrimage. After reaching Rundale, degustation of traditional Latvian cuisine. Arrival in Riga will be followed by a tour of the Riga’s Old Town, which features its most renowned architectural monuments: 13th century St. Peter’s Church, St. George’s Church, St. John’s Church, 14th century Riga Castle, Big and Small Guild houses, medieval dwelling houses “Three Brothers” and the Dome Square with its famous Dome Cathedral boasting one of the biggest pipe organs in Europe.
Riga – Gauja National Park – Turaida Castle – Parnu – Tallinn
Leaving Riga for Tallinn alongside the Riga Bay. En route stop at the Gauja National park and the Turaida Castle dating back to the 13th century. Authentic Estonian lunch and excursion in Parnu city. Late afternoon arrival in Tallinn. Outstanding dinner in a restaurant, which dates back to 1475 with 17 medieval dishes for your enjoyment. Tallinn – Stockholm
Morning city tour of Tallinn highlighting its surroundings and its Old Town will commence.
