Day 1: Arrival in Vilnius

Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Welcome meeting. Accommodation in a 3-Star hotel.

Day 2: Vilnius 

Morning excursion in the historic Vilnius Old Town including the Vilnius Cathedral and its square, the complex of Vilnius University, Pilies street containing historical, as well as, architectural monuments, which date back to the 16th-18th century, the Gothic corner of Vilnius with St. Anne’s and Bernardine churches, the former Town Hall square, the Gate of Dawn possessing a miraculous icon of Virgin Mary, and the 17th century Baroque church of St. Peter and Paul famous for its exceptional all-white interior. Free afternoon for souvenirs and shopping. Accommodation in a 3-Star hotel.

Day 3: Vilnius – Trakai – Anykščiai 

Morning tour of Trakai will take place beginning with a degustation of the traditional cuisine of Karaims (optional), adherents of Karaite Judaism brought to Lithuania by the Grand Duke Vytautas from Crimea. This city is the ancient capital of Lithuania located 28 km from Vilnius. Trakai is most well-known for its alluring 14th-15th century castle, the only castle in all of Eastern Europe that is situated on an island, where exhibitions of prehistoric findings, as well as, the 17th-18th century art depicting the way of life of the Lithuanian Grand Dukes and Karaims, are being held. Leaving Trakai for Anykščiai to relax in a SPA. Accommodation in a 4-Star hotel in Anykščiai. 

Day 4: Anykščiai– Hill of Crosses – Rundale Palace – Riga

Departure to Riga with en route stop at the Hill of Crosses, a unique place of national pilgrimage, and after crossing the border of Latvia, the imposing baroque residence – Rundale Palace, which was created by the Italian architect B. Rastrelli. Close to Rundale you will experience traditional Latvian cuisine in a farmstead (optional). Accommodation in Riga a 3-Star hotel.

Day 5: Riga

Morning excursion in the Old Town of Riga features its most renowned architectural monuments: 13th century St. Peter’s Church, St. George’s Church, St. John’s Church, 14th century Riga Castle, Big and Small Guild houses, medieval dwelling houses “Three Brothers” and the Dome Square with its famous Dome Cathedral boasting one of the biggest pipe organs in Europe. Free time for souvenirs and relaxation. Accommodation in a 3-Star hotel.

Day 6: Riga – Gauja National Park – Parnu – Tallinn

Leaving Riga for Tallinn. En route stop at the Gauja National park and the Turaida Castle dating back to the 13th century. En route stop in Parnu for traditional Estonian cuisine (optional) and excursion in Parnu city. Late afternoon arrival in Tallinn. Outstanding dinner (optional) in a restaurant, which dates back to 1475 with 17 medieval dishes for your enjoyment. You will get a thorough experience of the archaic Hanseatic customs. For a complete medieval immersion, servants, customary to the time-period, will guide you.  Accommodation in a 3-Star hotel.

Day 7: Tallinn

Morning excursion in Tallinn, which is one of the best-preserved and authentic medieval capitals in Europe filled with churches and merchant houses, morning city tour highlighting its surroundings and its Old Town will commence. The tour includes a visit to Catherine’s Valley Park and Palace, the Song Festival Amphitheatre and its venue, which has rich 120-year-old traditions, as well as, various other sights. You will also see Tallinn’s most acclaimed attractions: Toompea Hill and the Parliament building, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Tall Hermann, Kiek in de Kök and Dome Cathedral. Day 8: Transfer to the airport.
